About Us

Ugo Fritsch is a French and Canadian marine industry expert who has been working in the field since 1998. His experience encompasses a wide range of roles, including marine carpenter, professional skipper, and sailing instructor.

As a marine carpenter, he studied at the prestigious French school ‘Les Ateliers de l’Enfer’ in Douarnenez, Brittany. His work includes the full restoration of the 80-feet sailing barge ‘L’Audiernais’ between 1998 and 2004, the construction of all the interior of the 50-feet polar explorer motor yacht ‘Sila Inua’ in 2011, and the restoration of the 60-feet old-gaffer ‘Les 2 Frères’ during the years 2011-12.

As a professional skipper, Ugo has delivered yachts across the world, from British Columbia to French Polynesia, from Martinique to Europe. He has also spent time in Croatia and the Balearic Islands as a skipper for chartering companies as well as several seasons cruising and racing in France and finally on the Pacific North West over the past 12 years. In addition to this, Ugo is the Training Officer with the Viking Sailing Club. Ugo’s expertise extends beyond sailing and carpentry; he is a Yachtmaster Offshore with a commercial endorsement, delivered in 2011 by R.Y.A./M.C.A. (U.K.) and was a sailing instructor for the French Sea Scouts organization from 2003 to 2012.
